I’ve been getting a lot of positive comments from friends/clients who saw this portrait on my studio wall. Hence, the post title ‘The Girl with the Gorgeous Headscarf’. So I decided maybe i should do a blogpost about how did this image came about.
I met up with the beautiful Rini , a Mother to 2 beautiful children, in June and photographed her in July last year. During the in-person consultation, she was very happy to leave the creative decision to me as long the outcome is beautiful. I was very excited about it. Straight away Rihanna’s Vogue Cover pops into my mind. Dark Lips. Vibrant colour headscarf. I knew exactly what I wanted to achieve for her shoot.
At the same time, I was very obsessed with the costume on the movie ‘Maleficent’ acted by the stunning Angelina Jolie. I took out a long black tulle and got Vanida, my makeup artist, to keep throwing it. It was not easy but the effect was magnificent. Here are some of the other portraits from Rini’s session.
